What to expect
All organisations must ensure by law that they have a sufficient number of employees who possess a first aid qualification in order to fulfil their first aid needs at all times. Employers must ensure that their provision is ‘adequate and appropriate in the circumstances’.
It is the employer’s responsibility to decide what the requirements of the organisation are by assessing any specific work hazards and ensuring that sufficient equipment, facilities and personnel are available to deal with the consequences of these hazards.

First Aid
This accredited qualification provides learners with skills to further their first aid training.
It is recommended for first aiders in the workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator. Those gaining this qualification will know that cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation form an essential part of the chain of survival.

This accredited qualification is ideal for those already working or preparing to work within industry wishing to become an Emergency First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982.
All successful students will be issued with an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualification.

Driver and CPC Courses
All drivers are required by law to have 35 hours JAUPT approved training every five years. Nexus is well positioned to help you ensure that your new and existing drivers are compliant.
Driver CPC compliance has become harder to monitor, partially due to the fact that we are not now just dealing with acquired rights, but from when initial qualifications have been taken or EU drivers gained the initial qualification in an EU member state.
Many employers are now insisting that drivers must be up to date with their driver CPC.
